Florida High School football rivalry comes to a stop when a football player collapsed on the field needing CPR
American Heritage against Booker T. Washington was supposed to be a battle to brag about which team is the best in the county. Unfortunately, that came to a stop when a player collapsed on the sidelines during the game.
In the first quarter, referees called a timeout on the field due to a medical emergency.
The Fire Rescue team responded to the sidelines and began providing CPR on Timothy Burroughs-Love on American Heritage.
Both team’s training staff and fire rescue rushed to help him. Everyone seemed upset as they lifted the young football player onto a stretcher.
Right after the event, the game was canceled. Burroughs-Love is a talented athlete with offers from two Ivy League schools Dartmouth and Yale.
Timothy is in stable condition now, and it is believed that he suffered a seizure on the sidelines, that led to the medical emergency.
