What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Throughout high school, I excelled at basketball and football but then my senior year I switched to football because my father thought I had the size and potential to play football at the next level and make it work.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

In my senior season when I played defensive end and switched to running back and was having breakaway touchdowns and scored a 90-yard touchdown in a lower state football game.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My father and daughter. My daughter because she inspires me to go hard every day and my father because when he had health issues he inspired me because there is always a path to be successful.

What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?

I’m looking forward to my team being better than last year, winning a conference championship and an FCS championship, and leading my team on and off the football field.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Bryon Young and Darius Rush, just by us being from the same surrounding area and also because I can just sit down with them and see what they did to be where they are from practices and how they handle their bodies and just overall learning from them.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Indiana State?

Just the love and culture from the coaches and players around you and getting coached from guys that actually care about you.

What should we know about Juju Williams the person?

I’m a very humble guy, love to put in work to improve my craft and love doing community service and I’m a big family guy and also I love instilling the knowledge I have into the youth.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

4-3, our base defense is something to see with our speed and physicality up front and the linebackers going sideline to sideline and our defensive backs being ball hawkers.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I give everything to God and be faithful, but I can only control the controllable and get through it and just pray.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A great leader, passionate hard worker, and student of the game.

What stands out about your film the most?

My relentless effort to the ball, my explosiveness, physicality, and awareness.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Offensively Tee Hodge and defensively Gianini Belizaire and Antoineo Harris Jr, because they work hard and show they want it and come and watch more film to get better and they should be recognized more.
