Jonathan Taylor’s agent blasts Jim Irsay after ridiculous claim that Running Backs are paid enough

Jonathan Taylor has been the star of the Indianapolis Colts for the last several years, it is not a secret. Taylor deserves to be paid as one of the top running backs in the NFL, but the Colts owner does not think so.

Irsay went to Twitter to say this: NFL Running Back situation- We have negotiated a CBA, that took years of effort and hard work and compromise in good faith by both sides..to say now that a specific Player category wants another negotiation after the fact, is inappropriate. Some Agents are selling ‘bad faith’.

I guess Jonathan Taylor’s agent Malki Kawa took offense to this, because he fired back at Jim Irsay.

All you have to do is look at the stats and Kawa is not wrong. Jonathan Taylor is the star of the offense. In his rookie year, he lead the league in rushing in 2021 with 1,811 yards and then was injured in 2022. Colts have to pay him because he is a star in the making. Add in the fact that he is a captain of the team as well.

The running backs however are getting crushed in the market. Saquon Barkley, Austin Ekeler, Josh Jacobs and Tony Pollard are just a few that have been screwed by the CBA that Irsay has been talking about.

Running Backs want to be paid, and they will do what they need to do to get paid. I cannot blame them, but I love that Taylor’s agent defended his client and told the truth to the owner.
