I Wouldn’t Overlook These Two Teams For This Upcoming Season

Everyone has made their top teams for this upcoming season known, but there are two teams I wouldn’t overlook. One team resides in the NFC and the other resides in the AFC. Both teams did well in the offseason and these teams would be the Atlanta Falcons and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Jaguars ended last season in an exciting and surprising way. They were able to pull off a comeback against a team who had the upper hand the whole first half. This is a team who has much to build on and a ton of potential. Last year was Doug Pederson’s first year as the head coach and massive changes were made from the previous year. The Jaguars ended the season off with Trevor Lawrence throwing for 4,113 passing yards, Travis Etienne Jr. with 1,125 rushing yards and Chirtsian Kirk with 1,108 receiving yards.

Like I said, this team has so much potential. With that being said, Jacksonville was successful this offseason as well by keeping the offense together. Christian Kirk, Zay Jones and Evan Engram were able to work out their contracts and return to help give Trevor Lawrence some more offensive weapons.

Nevertheless, Jacksonville went on a serious run last season going on a four game win streak before going into the wild card game against the Los Angeles Chargers. A notable team they took down to achieve this was the Dallas Cowboys, who they beat in overtime by a pick six. I would definitely keep an eye out for the Jacksonville Jaguars as they are a team who can win the AFC South division.

Keeping it in the south we head on over to the NFC. Now the Atlanta Falcons have a lot of upside as they were another team with a large amount of cap space this off season. Even though they didn’t have the same result as the Jaguars regarding playoffs, they have the same amount of upside. This was a huge offseason as they filled every hole they had going into the offseason. They acquired Jessie Bates III, Calais Campbell, Bud Dupree, and Jeff Okudah. That’s just their defense alone. On offense they re-signed two offensive linemen, Chris Lindstrom and Kaleb McGary, acquired Jonnu Smith and Mack Hollins. But the biggest person they acquired this offseason, who many believe was an odd pick from the draft, is Texas Running Back Bijan Robsinson.

Offensively and Defensively the sky’s the limit for this team as they did many successful things last year. It was a nail biting season due to them being in so many tight games. With the new additions to the team and returners coming back Atlanta is looking stacked. The NFC South may be crowning its new division leaders as many other teams in this division are also rebuilding with new faces on the team.

All in all I wouldn’t count the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons out.
