What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I grew up in a football town, where football is everything. I started going to high school games at a young age watching my uncle play and I fell in love with the game from then on. I also love competing and winning and football was a way that I could do both.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Three of my favorite moments would be when I started my very first collegiate game as a true freshman. The other would be when I was at Tusculum University and we won the spring conference championship. The last moment would be last year when we beat Chattanooga, with them being a ranked team and already looking at playoffs, they never expected us to win and we did just that at home in front of our fans.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

If I being honest I can’t choose just one, but it would be my mother and my grandmother. There are many reasons why they inspire me, they both work unbelievably hard to provide for our family and they always make sure everyone else is ok, even if they forget about themselves. They have showed me how to work hard and stay the course no matter what is thrown at me. They also have made sure that I keep faith in God and trust him on a daily basis. So they inspire me the most to keep going hard everyday.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

The one player I would want to hang out with would be Trent Williams. He’s a great player and every time he steps on the field he is looking to straight dominate his opponent. I would also want to watch film with him and see what he sees, and see if he can teach me how to do some of the techniques that his uses in his game.

What are your favorite things about playing football for Western Carolina?

My two favorite things about playing for Western are that we play in front of a community that wants to see us succeed every Saturday and they support us no matter what. They also try and provide anything that we need as a team. Another thing is that I play for a coaching staff that is like family to me, they push me to be the best and challenge me to go above and beyond. They are a good group of coaches, who love to compete and win, while having fun doing it. You also can’t beat the views of the mountains that you get while playing at Western.

What should we know about Christian Coulter the person?

I am a person who can be counted on and will always try to help no matter what. I am always looking for ways to better myself and those around me. I like to have fun but I am also about my business regardless of the situation.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

My favorite scheme would be the power scheme or the counter scheme because it gives me the chance to be violent in my pulls and wash down whole sides of a defensive front when the power is coming to my side.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

The way I handle challenges is by first praying to God and asking for guidance. Then I try and find as many ways as possible that I can overcome the obstacle that has been put in front of me so that I can get back on the right path.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would get a player who is ready to play any position on the offensive line, someone who is quick, and has knowledge and experience. They would be getting a team player who would get along with the whole team and will always be focused on the goal which is winning games and championships.

What stands out about your film the most?

What stands out about my film the most is that it will have me doing almost everything on it. I will have plenty of different things showcased like my power, quickness, and knowledge of the game. It will be very versatile and it will show me finishing blocks for sure.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player that I can think of right now is AJ Colombo, he’s a receiver here at Western. He literally does anything asked of him and he works very hard every day.
