Former Louisville QB Malik Cunningham is making the transition to wide receiver for the Patriots

Malik Cunningham was one of the most electric quarterbacks in college football, and has speed and ability to do a lot on the field. He had some very impressive games in his college career, and now the Patriots are making him switch from QB to WR.
The Julian Edelman experience is about to happen again. Cunningham told reporters, he has never in his life ran a route, but is trying to focus on the new position.
“I’ve never ran a route ever in my life,” Cunningham said Monday, via Mass Live. “It’s definitely different, but the quarterback is still in me so it’s kind of learning as we go. Just trying to get better each and every day, so that’s been the task. Trying to focus on the details at the receiver standpoint — alignment, assignment and knowing what to do.”
Cunningham threw for 9,660 yards in his collegiate career, and scored 70 touchdowns through the air. Add in the fact he rumbled for 50 more touchdowns on the ground adding 3k plus rushing yards.
Cunningham is a freaky athlete, but can he make the Patriots roster as a wide out?
