Is This Make It or Break it For The Dallas Cowboys?

With the NFL season getting closer and closer teams are wrapping up OTAs and establishing the groundwork for the season. But the question that many people may be thinking about, is this a make it or break it season for the Dallas Cowboys.
There are a couple of things that you have to take a look at when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys. This offseason their Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore left to coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. Mike McCarthy has stepped into the Offensive Coordinator position. McCarthy became the head coach of the Cowboys back in 2020 and has experience being the Offensive Coordinator calling plays. Previous to being a Cowboy, McCarthy was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers and before this he was the Offensive Coordinator of the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers. Therefore, he has experience calling plays for the offense. Nevertheless, Dallas did release star Running back Ezekiel Elliot as well and decided to move forward with Tony Pollard.
So is this do or die for them? Will these changes in the offseason be enough to get them to the Super Bowl and become champions.
Defensively they’ve been solid, key players have stepped up and have continued to improve over time. They have also added new additions, Cornerback Stephon Gilmore and their 2023 first round draft pick Mazi Smith, the defense still looks to be promising.
The main questions rely on offense. Starting Quarterback Dak Prescott has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 2016, as he was drafted by Dallas. But can he get it done when it matters most, can he lead this offense to victory. The Cowboys did take advantage of the draft by drafting a tight end, Luke Schoonmaker to replace Dalton Schultz. They also picked up Ronald Jones to go along with Tony Pollard when he returns from injury this season.
These past seasons the Cowboys have fallen short of making it to the Super Bowl. In 2020 they didn’t make the playoffs, in 2021 they lost in the wildcard matchup to the San Francisco 49ers and then losing to the 49ers again the following year in the playoffs.
If the Cowboys don’t make it to the Super Bowl, do they start thinking about moving on from the coaching staff and players.
