Division III QB could raise eyebrows | Mount Union QB Braxton Plunk can sling it!

Mount Union – the Division III school in Alliance, Ohio – is known as a powerhouse and perennial favorite to win the Division III national championship. Last season, they came up just short to North Central, losing 21-28.
Perhaps they have the goods to win it this season behind the arm of graduate senior quarterback Braxton Plunk, a double major in marketing and finance.
The 6’0 180 gunslinger threw for an astonishing 4,551 yards and 50 touchdowns last season – leading the nation in Division III in both categories – and was a semifinalist for the Gagliardi Trophy.
The Purple Raiders have had multiple players make it in the NFL, notably Cecil Shorts (Jaguars) and Pierre Garcon (Colts). Perhaps Plunk could be next.
