Top NCAA Division 2 Football Matchups of Week 8

Newberry College at Lenoir-Rhyne University

Going to possibly be a tough SAC conference matchup. The Bears offense has sophomore running back Dwayne McGee who has 642 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns this season. Defensively for Newberry they have junior linebacker Luke Taylor who has 51 tackles, 8 TFLs, 3 aacks and 1 interception in 2022. The Wolves offense has redshirt sophomore running back Mario Anderson who has 818 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Defensively for Lenoir-Rhyne they have sophomore defensive lineman Andre Jefferson who has 32 tackles, 6.5 TFLs and 5.5 sacks in 2022.

Texas A&M University-Kingsville at Angelo State University

Another potential tough matchup in week 8. Angelo State’s offense has Nate Omayebu III who has 706 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns in 2022. Defensively for the Javelinas they have redshirt junior defensive back Amos Coleman who has 22 tackles, 4 PBUs and 3 interceptions this season. Kingsville’s offense has redshirt junior running back Christian Anderson who has 673 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns in 2022. Defensively for the Rams they have junior linebacker Daron Allman who has 36 tackles, 8 TFLs and 5 sacks this season.

Tiffin University at Ashland University

The Dragons face the Eagles. Ashland’s offense has junior running back Larry Martin who has 461 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Dragons they have senior defensive back Jermaine Wimpye who has 22 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 PBUs in 2022. Tiffin’s offense has senior running back Darius Pinnix who has 588 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Eagles they have junior defensive back Jovon Sewell who has 23 tackles and 5 PBUs in 2022.

Minnesota State University-Mankato at Augustana University (SD)

Potentially tough NSIC conference matchup. The Vikings offense is led by sophomore wide receiver Jack Fisher who has 344 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns in 2022. Defensively for the Mavericks they have senior defensive back Payton Conrad who has 40 tackles, 5 TFLs, 3 forced fumbles and 3 PBUs this season. Defensively for Augustana they have sophomore defensive back Peyton Buckley who has 41 tackles, 5 TFLs and 4 PBUs this season.

University of Sioux Falls at Winona State University

Another potentially intriguing NSIC conference matchup. The Warriors offense has sophomore running back Ty Gavin who has 698 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Cougars they have redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Zach Durfee who has 21 tackles, 12.5 TFLs and 11.5 sacks in 2022. For Sioux Falls offensively they have grad running back Thuro Reisdorfer who has 965 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns this season. Defensively for the Warriors they have redshirt freshman defensive back Vernon Porte who has 34 tackles and 7 PBUs in 2022.
