Brandon Smith the JUCO star back who recently committed to Oregon State arrested for Attempted Murder
Brandon Smith had a bright future. The former Santa Barbara City College football star had just made the decision to transfer to Oregon State to play his final years, and hopefully get a shot to play in the NFL.
Well, that dream is now being put on hold. According to police, Brandon Smith was one of four people arrested on June 7 and charged with attempted murder, robbery, and conspiracy following an altercation near a community pool at the Forte Ranch condos on June 2 that left a 20-year-old man with serious injuries.
The crazy thing is Smith committed to Oregon State on June 2nd the same day this reportedly happened.
Smith is being held in jail on a $2 million dollar bond.
The 5-foot-11, 215-pound running back, ran for 1,231 yards for Santa Barbara City College this past season, putting up 16 touchdowns for the Vaquero’s and 112 yards per game.
