Former Raiders first round pick Henry Ruggs expected to accept plea deal for fatal car accident
Henry Ruggs III is expected to plea guilty to the fatal DUI crash that killed a 23-year-old female Tina Tintor and her dog.
Police reported that Ruggs was driving his Corvette 156 miles per hour when he crashed into Tintor’s Rav 4 rupturing the gas tank. Ruggs’ blood alcohol content was .016, twice the legal limit in Las Vegas.
Ruggs will plead guilty to the felony charge of DUI resulting in death and a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter.
He was facing 50 years in prison, if he did not plea guilty. Ruggs is expected to enter his plea deal in district court soon. If he does accept the plea he will face anywhere from 3 to 10 years in prison for the charges.
