What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2024 NFL Draft

I believe I have certain intangibles that the stats don’t show. I am a hard worker and I dedicate time to perfecting my craft. I think my intelligence really excels my game above some other defensive linemen. Also, I am an every-down type of player who can stop the run as well as rush the passer.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

I have been interested in football for as long as I can remember. My dad, brother and I used to play in the front yard every other night. That led to little league football and fueled my passion for what it is today.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

I have a very high ceiling and I am only getting better every year. With my work ethic and coachability, I know I can develop into an impactful player at the next level.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

Finding a cure/treatment for cancer.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

“It’s not about the size of the dog in the fight, it’s about the size of the fight in the dog”

Who was your childhood hero?

My parents.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

I can’t pick just one. All of the guys in the locker room are competitors and great athletes.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Laziness.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

I think one thing that defines coming from adversity is turning myself into an NFL draft prospect after coming from a very small school in Iowa. I came from being a decent player at a school with 30 kids on the entire football team with a record of 3-6 to a standout D3 player who ranked nationally in sacks and TFLs.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

Coe is a very tight-knit community where students, athletes, professors, coaches, and alumni all share a special connection with each other. Coe is special to me because it is very close to home and my family and friends are able to support me.

What is your favorite snack food?

Fruit.

What is the best part of football?

Going out there and physically imposing your will on somebody else. There is no better feeling than dominating the guy across from you.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

I am an intelligent player who can do it all from my position while still yearning to grow and learn as a player.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

Maxx Crosby

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  1. Kobe Bryant
  2. David Goggins
  3. Jocko WIllink

I would love to pick their brains about their mentalities and how they shaped their minds into what they are.
