Star Alabama high school football player Phil Dowdell shot and killed in Alabama Mass Shooting

A mass shooting broke out on Saturday Night in Dadeville, Alabama at a teenager’s birthday party. Alabama police were investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 10:34 p.m. near the 200 Block of Broadnax Street in Dadeville, located in Tallapoosa County. The result was stunning, where four people were killed and over 20 were shot.
High-school football star and honor student Phil Dowdell was set to graduate with a scholarship to play at Jacksonville State University as a football player, but sadly he was killed at his sister’s “Sweet 16” party in Alabama on Saturday night.
Dowdell, a Dadeville football player, had recently committed to Jacksonville State University to play wide receiver.
At least 15 teenagers were treated for gunshot wounds – including several who are in critical condition.
Of the 15 teens taken to Dadeville’s Lake Martin Community Hospital, six have been treated and released.
Please keep the families in your prayers during this tough time.
