No One is safe from Colin Kaepernick. The former NFL quarterback is taking a shot at the lady that adopted him and raised him.
According to Kaepernick, his adoptive mother hated him having cornrows in high school, and said it was not professional, and made him look like a little thug. Kaepernick claims he faced resistance from people, including his White adoptive parents when he tried to embrace his blackness.
“I know my parents loved me, but there were still very problematic things that I went through,” Kaepernick told CBS. “I think it was important to show, ‘No, this can happen in your own home.’ And how do we move forward collectively while addressing the racism that is being perpetuated.”
Colin Kaepernick just-released a book titled, “Colin Kaepernick: Change the Game,” which he co-wrote with Eve L. Ewing, a professor and sociologist at the University of Chicago.
Kaepernick says he still wakes up five to six days a week around 4:30 to train, but I doubt he will ever get a shot again in the NFL. Those days are over.
