Bears GM Ryan Poles wanted to trade back twice with the Texans and Panthers

Ryan Poles wanted to trade back twice, that was his goal and it would have been the first time a team traded back twice and still had a top 10 pick I believe.
Poles said he had significant discussions with the Houston Texans, who currently have the No. 2 pick.
“I thought there was an opportunity to do something historically pretty cool with a trade from one to two and two to nine. That had potential to add more draft capital this year, and then the possibility that you’re sitting on three ones in the following year. That had my attention,” Poles said. “But my gut told me to trigger on it now.”
Poles said he was concerned about one or more of the top quarterbacks having a horrible pro day. So that is why he made the decision to trade out of the first pick.
I think he did a great job, landing DJ Moore, as well as the 9th pick in this years draft, they did a great job. The Bears have a really solid team for sure. I like their moves so far.
