Jets owner Woody Johnson really wants Aaron Rodgers

Woody Johnson is not allowed to talk about Aaron Rodgers specifically because then he will get in trouble for tampering, but everyone is asking him questions about adding a veteran quarterback like Aaron Rodgers.
Johnson was asked directly if the Jets want Aaron Rodgers during an interview with ESPN at the NFL Honors last night and Johnson was very clear.
“You want the best quarterback that you can get to lead the Jets,”
The Jets already added Nathaniel Hackett who has worked with Rodgers in the past, and Rodgers praised the hire recently. The problem is Aaron Rodgers is not young.
Rodgers is 39, and if the Jets have to give up a lot do you really want to give up your future for a QB with one or two years left in him?
When you look around the league sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery. Look at Matthew Stafford, he won the Super Bowl after being a crummy Lions team forever.
Now if the Jets land him and they win a Super Bowl it would be worth it, but if they crumble, Aaron Rodgers would be a very interesting interview week in and week out in New York City. Who knows, it could be a bad move, but by the sounds of Woody Johnson he is okay to try his hand.
