What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I really believe that football chose me more than I chose it. Since I was 4 years old I was playing football with my brothers and the older guys in my neighborhood park. I grew up loving football and it has always been my favorite sport growing up.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

I have a ton of favorite moments throughout my football life, like a moment from high school where we won the state championship in 2015. In college, I think my two favorite moments were when we beat Tennessee and Clemson back to back. It was really special to me because it was my last year at South Carolina while doing something that’s never been done at USC, so for that I’m forever grateful.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

It has always been my dream to play in the NFL, and I I know if I had the chance to I will make the best of it. I believe that my play style and talent belongs in the NFL. I’m coachable and always willing to learn.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I could hang with any football player, it would have to be Ray Lewis and Luke Kuechly. Only because I’ve always watched them growing up and they inspired me to play linebacker. Meeting them I would just want to soak up there knowledge from playing the game and their methods for studying opponents.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom inspires me the most, she’s been through so much and sacrificed so much just to make sure I had a chance to go after my dream. Practically raising 4 boys by herself most of our lives. She’s the strongest woman I know, and for that I want to make her proud.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

My favorite defensive scheme would have to be the 4-3. The reason for that is because I love a defense where I get to stay on the field more because I can play outside line backer or inside linebacker. I played all 3 positions during my time at USC, so I can play any position. Another reason I love it, is because it’s better when you’re trying to stop the run, which is one of the main jobs of playing linebacker.

What should we know about Sherrod Greene the person?

Sherrod is a hard worker, he’s a person whose fought through adversity and refuse to accept failure. Always care for others and put his family first no matter the situation.

What stands out about your film the most?

The things that stand out in my film is my ability to slip or get off blocks. My speed is another thing that I think is one of my best traits, also I have my best games in the biggest games of the year. I always make sure to give it my all no matter the situation.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I always handle challenges in life the same as I do in football. Football is a sport that teaches you about life because it’s not always going to go in your favor. There’s ups and downs in life in football so I always overcome adversity because I have the mentality of being grateful enough to where I get the chance to do it all over again.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A team would get a player that’s a professional, always trying to get better and puts his team first no matter the issue. Shows up to work everyday no matter what, never complains about anything, and someone who can handle anything you ask me to do.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The thing I love the most about the game of football is the competition in the sport and having the opportunity to hit another human and not get in trouble for it.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player that I’ve ever played with was Ernest Jones. He was a dog and still is and I’m happy to see his success in the NFL
