What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2023 NFL Draft?
What makes me a top prospect in my position is that I play fast and I’m able to adapt to certain situations that happen.
At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?
I was introduced to football at the age of 12 by my uncle and from that point, I was invested and wanted to learn more about the game of football.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?
One thing an NFL team should know about me is that I lead by example and want to lead my teammates in the best way that I can.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
One cause I would donate to is the COPD foundation because my grandfather passed away from COPD. That is a cause that I’ve always supported and will continue to support.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
The best advice I was ever given was by my uncle when he told me to get away from home and experience life because everything back home will still be there while I’m gone. That really helped me develop as a person and also as a player.
Who was your childhood hero?
My childhood hero was my grandfather.
Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?
The most underrated teammate in the locker room at my New Mexico is Dion Hunter.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is probably someone chewing really loud.
Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
The hardest moment in my life to overcome was when I was in junior college and I had to have emergency surgery on a ruptured ulcer in my stomach and have my appendix removed while I was there. After having the surgery I had to leave college and rebuild myself back up and it was really hard and depressing and I was about to call it quits to football but I always thank God for the people I have in my life that motivate me to keep chasing my dreams.
Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?
One thing about our school is that is where NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher went to and I was honored to wear his jersey when they brought it out of retirement while at New Mexico. New Mexico was special to me because I was able to keep developing as a player but I was also able to develop into a better leader and a lot better person while in New Mexico.
What is your favorite snack food?
My favorite snack food is a Reese’s fast break bar.
What is the best part of football?
The best part of football is the ability to be out there and perform in front of your friends and family and make them proud.
If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?
I have many strengths that help me be successful in the game of football. First, I have a strong work ethic that drives me to work harder than the person in front of me but also have the ability to bring others up with me so they can reach a higher limit than where they are at.
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?
If I could compare my play to one player in the NFL is Derwin James because I feel like we have similar size and he’s everywhere on the field making plays in coverage but also making plays in the run game.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?
If I could eat with three people dead or alive I would eat with my grandfather because I miss him and want to keep making him proud. I would also eat with Michael Jordan and just pick at his mind and learn more of his way of leading.
