What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Just a love for the game and I love to display my talents and athleticism.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Me switching from quarterback to wide receiver and the first game I had multiple touchdowns, my first collegiate catch, touchdown and at Lindenwood the Eastern Illinois game winner.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Just be the best version of me and so that I can give back to others.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Jerry Rice and Randy Moss, Rice because of his work ethic and passion for the game, and Randy Moss because I’m sure he knows things differently and present I would say Robert Woods because he went to my high school and is kind of like a role model for me because of his story.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom or sister and grandfather, because they have always been in my corner and make sure we have so much and I owe it all to them.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
Spread offense, west coast, air raid, anything that has to do with the pass and run game that involves wide receivers.
What should we know about Kobe Smith the person?
Is a very ambitious person and although I’m very confident and reassuring of my game I feel I’ve been under looked and undervalued. So I feel like I owe it to myself to be the best athlete I can be.
What stands out about your film the most?
My route running, hands and separation.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
When I’m faced with a challenge depending on what it is I want to sit back and evaluate strategically and go through with the plan and if it’s something I have to solve right away I just hit back at it.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team player and an ambitious motivated player and a workhorse and I like to win and is someone who can win one on one matchups and not afraid to block.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
Just the competitive nature and the brotherhood of it I’ve met most of my friends through football and everyone has to do there job and everyone is held accountable in some way, shape or form.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
BJ Busbee and Spencer Redd, just because they are both smaller slot receivers and they both can flat out play and play the position the right way.
