Player Summary:

6th yr GR and 2 yr full-time starter on the OL where he aligns at RG in the zone/gap blocking scheme of INND. Switched from RT in 2022. He possesses rare height, solid weight and adequate speed with poor length and a powerful build. He is an average athlete showing solid explosiveness, average COD, lateral quickness and agility, adequate acceleration with subpar balance and play speed. On inside zones, he does a good job of kicking out 3T with ordinary size and play speed with the OT before peeling off and using his solid play strength to seal off the ILB creating a lane for the RB on combo blocks. On power runs, he uses his average lateral quickness and agility to pull through the hole and effectively uses his momentum and physical toughness to overpower ILB with subpar play strength and UOH. He is solid in pass pro as he plays with a good, wide base with average bend and keeps his hands close to his body. He uses his solid play strength with average UOH in his punch, placement and timing as he anchors against IDL with adequate size, physical toughness and subpar UOH. Above-average FBI enables him to read the defense while using his average reactive athleticism to pick up blitzing ILB with adequate acceleration and stunts and twists from IDL with ordinary AA. He exhibits good competitive toughness both physically as he is aggressive at the POA while playing until the whistle and mentally as he rises to the occasion in the redzone. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from quickly reaching to the 2nd level on outside zone runs allowing LB with solid AA, good physical toughness and length to disengage or evade his attempted block. Subpar counter ability against IDL with quick hands and good pass rush move repertoire due to his poor length. Lack of quality UOH causes him to struggle to consistently win battles with his hands inside especially against IDL with solid length while run blocking and in pass pro. Subpar balance causes him to struggle to consistently keep his weight over his toes.

Scheme Fit:

OG in inside zone/power scheme.

Power Statement:

Tough, physical player who compensates for his poor length with above-average competitive toughness. Lack of quality play speed limits his ability at the 2nd level on outside zone runs.
