Former Colts offensive lineman Joe Staysniak was arrested on Tuesday for intimidation, pointing a firearm, strangulation and domestic battery, according to police records.

Staysniak was a former Ohio State standout football player who went on to a nice career playing for the Bills, Chiefs, Colts and Cardinals.

Staysniak was a member of the Colts from 92-95, but was a co-host to “The Jeff and Big Joe Show” on 1070 The Fan in Indianapolis.

The 56-year-old will have to appear in court after being booked into Hendrick County, Indiana jail.

The affidavit was interesting to say the least. Staysniak received a call from his neighbor about a suspicious car in front of his house. When Staysniak approached the car, he found two men sitting in the car together. He began assaulting them to find out it was his son and his boyfriend. His son Lucas told police his dad began hitting him and his boyfriend before pulling a gun.

“Lucas stated that his father then punched him, causing his lip to bleed and then punched the passenger. Lucas stated that his father then displayed a firearm and told he and the passenger that they’re lucky he saw who it was,” the affidavit read. The passenger claimed that the father “flashed a gun” and pointed it “against the side of his [the passenger] face.”
