What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’m originally from Lafayette, Louisiana and it’s an hour from Baton Rouge and my parents took me to LSU games at Death Valley and it was an awesome experience there and I knew Jacob Hester who played at LSU and being close to him and getting his perspective and getting to know his experience as a college athlete was huge and that’s what made me fall in love with the game.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

The covid year our first game we played Southern Miss and Luke Anthony threw me a touchdown and we got back home and turned on sportscenter and it was the #4 play.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I think I can do alot from the tight end position and I believe I have a mold of Travis Kelce and have continued success in the passing game and improve my play in the box.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Travis Kelce, I’ve watched so much of his tape and would like to talk to him and Jarvis Landry because I looked up to him and he is an explosive player.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom, she lost every single one of her close relatives and she keeps pushing forward and it’s inspiration that she’s lost so much and keeps going forward.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

10 personnel, split out in the slot because that’s where I’ve been most comfortable.

What should we know about Griffin Hebert person?

I’m an only child, my parents have had to sacrifice alot to help me get to where I am and my parents are my why.

What stands out about your film the most?

Speed for my size and having a good feeling for space.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I’m a goal setter so I tackle everything through very thought out attainable goals and that’s how I get through challenges in life and on the football field.

What would a team get in a player like you?

I’m a unique body type and I feel I can create mismatches from that position.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

Celebrating with your teammates after you score particularly offensive linemen when they pick you up.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Joshua Mote, he’s a captain one of the best leaders I’ve been around and an overall phenomenal guy.
