What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My pops is a USC fan so I watched Reggie Bush a lot growing up. I just wanted to run around and make people miss just like he did.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I’m looking forward to becoming greatness every single day. Becoming a better person, leader, teammate and of course football player.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Randy Moss. He dominates whoever is in front of him. I like that mentality. Dawg mentality.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

In 2022, beating #4 ranked UIW on a game winner for sure. I haven’t played them since 2019 and we never ever beat them. 2020 I caught COVID and missed the game. 2021 I got hurt and missed the game. I was looking forward to playing those guys for 3 years. It was like a fire inside me.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom and dad both. Both of them were in the military, so I already have that grind background. My mom always makes sure me and my 2 sisters are great while working. My dad is a real grinder. Always makes sure I have what I want, worked multiple jobs to get me where I need to be at. The hard work and dedication I have is definitely from them.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

West Coast! Throw the ball around the field, let the playmakers make plays.

What should we know about CJ Turner the person?

Born leader, likes to joke, very outgoing, hard worker, very confident, clutch, gamer, smiles alot, spectacular.

What stands out about your film the most?

I make plays when plays are needed, real deal play maker. Hands are elite. Routes are elite.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I try for the most part to think first for the best solutions during challenging situations so I am not making decisions based off of my initial emotions.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A smart football player that’s ready to learn, always looking for ways to get better and make an impact in any way possible. A leader, playmaker, grinder.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love playing at away stadiums. You get to show up to their place and put on a show for them. Show them all the work you have been putting in. Show them greatness.

Who is the most underrated players I have ever played with and why?

Austin Mitchell, underrated because of his height I would assume. Best teammate I’ve been around, gets it out the mud everyday, we were an unstoppable duo in the pass game.
