What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

What made me decide to play football was watching my older brothers play and watching Ray Lewis be a impactful player on and off the field. I starting playing at the age of five and every since then I fell in love with it and made a point to be dominant with it in which I did.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moment from my football career is starting as a freshman at Savannah State, which was Division 1 at the time, and upsetting Charleston Southern University in a game which everyone counted us out. It was the biggest win in Savannah State history and will always be one of my favorite memories.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Going forward, the ultimate goal for me is to join an organization and bring consistent high energy amongst the organization and great on field production as well. I want to impact people lives and have them understand that if no one believes in you, I believe no matter who the person is you can. That’s bigger than X’s and O’s to me. I feel giving the opportunity, I can provide that and then some for sure.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would say Aaron Donald because of how dominant he is on the field, how much work he put in behind the scenes, and how to properly take care of your body. He is the epitome of what hard work and discipline looks like.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

Both of my parents inspire me the most because of how hard working they are and how much they sacrifice for there family to make sure there ok. They exemplify what discipline can get you in life.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

Me personally, my favorite defensive scheme is a 4-3 or a 4-2-5. I’m a firm believer that the battle is won at the line of scrimmage and having four dominant defensive lineman who causes disruption throughout a game is hard to beat no matter the case.

What should we know about Cam Brown the person?

Outside of football, I’m a country boy who grew up in church all my life and loves to impact people life no matter who they are and what they have going on in there life. I absolutely love children and feels as if you do good in your everyday life good will come back to you. Dealing with football, I came to Savannah State as a PWO and earned a scholarship by the end of training camp and started every game in my college career at Savannah State. I say that to say I’m a humble hard worker who is very discipline and understands timing is everything.

What stands out about your film the most?

I believe what sets me apart from other players when looking at my film is my ability/willingness to make big time plays, my leverage, and the relentless hustle/effort I bring throughout practice which translate in games. I also believe my attention to detail sets me apart as well as being coachable.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Me personally, I’m a huge believer in having faith, praying daily, and being humble. A lot of stuff happens in life as a test but having a understanding of what doesn’t break you makes you stronger is crucial. I’m a strong believer and walking testimony.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A player that not only overemphasized the importance of togetherness and longevity in relationships outside of football but that brings the willingness to get better everyday in every aspect and translating that in my on field production.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The camaraderie and togetherness in which this great sport being with people from all different backgrounds in which lasts long after your playing days are over. Also just the ability to let out any negative thoughts or build up anger in you into a craft in which you practice on the daily and showcase it in front of thousands of people you know and don’t know.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I’ve played with I would say is Stefen Banks for the Calgary Stampeders. His ability to consistently make plays and be around the ball is unbelievable. I had the chance to play with him his senior year at Savannah State and I was just amazed at how much time he put in his craft and how he carried himself as a professional. He is very misunderstood and has a high I.Q. for the game and is still continuing to be a dominant defensive lineman in the CFL.
