What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
I started playing football in the 5th grade and was boxing too so it was just another sport I could be physical in and my family was always watching football on sunday’s. So that’s why I got into it.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
2021 in Juco we were playing San Francisco City College and I had 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 8 tackles and even though we lost the game taught me alot about unity and the brotherhood and you can’t do it all by yourself.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
It would just be a blessing just to make it into the NFL and being able to showcase my abilities and having consistent production.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Reggie White, I feel like just watching his film and production on the field I’d like to talk to him off the field and see what his mentality is day in and day out.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mom and my uncle, my mom just because as an immediate family we lost alot of family members and just seeing how strong she is and gets through everything. And my uncle has shown me alot and giving back to younger athletes and has taught me alot about entrepreneurship.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
4-3, because especially on the edge rushing the quarterback going 1 on 1 with the offensive lineman in front of me, there’s nothing like those 1 on 1’s.
What should we know about PJ Huff the person?
I’m committed to anything I set my mind to and I’m very relentless when it comes to work and hardworking and don’t like losing and very coachable.
What stands out about your film the most?
My size and being able to use my length and show how physical I am on the defensive line and running down the ball carrier.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
For me I feel like it comes down to having faith in God whether it’s on the field or in life whenever you have adversity having faith in God can get you through.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Somebody that’s going to keep working even when the lights are off. I won’t ever let anyone outwork me. I’m always on time and ready to work.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I like physical aspect of being able to punish the man in front of me and not getting in trouble for it.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Dom Peterson, I’m saying him because even with his size he still produces alot on the field and that shows. And he knows the game of football like he can show me stuff that goes even further then what I know.
