What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I’ve had a love for the game ever since I was 5 years old. I just love the fact that you can hit someone and not get in trouble for it. It is also the ultimate team sport. That’s another big reason why I play football. It takes everyone in order for a play to work and for you to win games.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I just want to be a role model for the future generations and show them that academics and athletics are both equally important. The big goal is to make a NFL team and make contributions to the team.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I would want to hangout with Cameron Jordan because he is a good football player and also a great person and someone I model my game after.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Beating Arkansas in 2019. It was our first power 5 win in a long time and it felt good to show that we were just as good as a power 5 team.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

I would say my mom because she did not have all the advantages in life that she has provided for me. She beat the odds and was the first person in her family to graduate from college. She is my biggest inspiration!

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

I love the 4-2-5 scheme because it allows the defensive line to be able to make plays. Also, it allows the whole defense to make plays as well. You can be very multiple out of the 4-2-5 and it gives you flexibility against both the run and the pass.

What should we know about Juwuan Jones the person?

I believe that good things come to those who work hard and do more than what is required. That is the type of person I am in everything that I do! I want to be the hardest worker in the room no matter the circumstances. I believe if you do the right thing even when no one is looking you will be rewarded in the end.

What stands out about your film the most?

My ability to both play the run and rush the passer as well. That’s something that I really pride myself on.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

You just take it one day at a time and control what you can control. You have to take a step back from certain situations and see what can be done now and what can be done later.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They would get a player who will work like they always have something to prove. Someone that is the first one in and the last to leave. And most of all a winner.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love the fact that’s it’s the ultimate team sport and it requires 11 people to work together as a unit to accomplish a goal.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Antwon Kincade is one of the most underrated players I played with because he was always in the right spot at the right time. He always knew where to be and that allows him to play fast.
