What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Just my surroundings, my dad is a paramedic and was a paramedic at football games and me and my brother would wait at the gate and then all these kids would get together and play football.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Me losing my championship game in 8th grade I was able to step back and feel what it’s like to lose, my junior year of high school winning the high school state championship, beating Clemson my freshman year of college and the bowl game in 2018.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Somebody from Chicago making it to the league and giving back to the community. There’s more than just hanging out on your block and I want to be a hero for my city.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Marshawn Lynch, because I was a Bears fan but also a Seahawks fan and he was doing things you’ve never seen before and Aaron Donald, because I model my game as a defensive lineman after him.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My dad because he was a single parent raising 3 kids.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
Spread offense, especially with RPOs and its a newer scheme people have to prepare for and alot of the success we had at Syracuse came from RPOs.
What should we know about Chris Elmore the person?
I’m going to always bring the energy if you don’t see me smiling then that’s not me. What you see is what you get.
What stands out about your film the most?
All the positions that I’ve played from FB to TE to LG to DT. So my versatility.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I face them like a man and I face them head on as much as I can at all times.
What would a team get in a player like you?
The absolute best out of me. I’ve never said no to anything in football, I’ll do whatever it takes, and as a fullback I’ll do the dirty work, never complain or cry about it.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love how it’s an outlet for me whenever anything bad happens I use football to take my aggression out.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
NyKeim Johnson, he was definitely an underrated player and never got the respect he deserved even though everyone in the ACC knew he was good.
