High School Scouting Report: Ben Winters, OT, Kalispell Glacier High School
I was looking online and ran across some film of a high school football player in Montana and I was mind-blown. I usually do not take time to talk about a high school prospect, but Ben Winters is special.
Winters is a 6’5, 300-pound offensive tackle that I feel deserves a huge shoutout!
Our veteran scout Mike Bey breaks down the Juniors film!
- Name: Ben Winters
- Position: OT
- Height: 6’5
- Weight: 300
- School: Kalispell Glacier High School
A offensive tackle with elite size and good length. Lines up as a RT. In pass pro, he plays with a good, wide base and keeps his feet moving. Good play strength enables him to anchor when DE with average physical toughness and explosiveness attempt a bullrush. He does a good job of resetting his feet to recover if beaten initially. Solid play speed enables him to get to the 2ndlevel quickly. His above-average play strength allows him to overpower EDGE with adequate size in the run game before creating a lane for the RB. Overall, a powerful OT with elite size who is solid as a run blocker and in pass pro.
