What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
What made me decide to be a football player was how I was always surrounded by football through my family and seeing the energy that football brings to different areas.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Moving forward what I hope to achieve is to get picked up by any professional team whether it be the NFL, CFL, XFL, etc. and keep building off the brand I have as a football player.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
I would have to say I would pick Von Miller because of how we are similar on the field and how he has a open personality he displays which shows that he has an interesting life off the field as well.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
I would say my mother because of how strong of a woman she is and how protective she is of her family and always finds a way to keep my life positive.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments from my football life would have to be climbing Mount Fuji with my old high school team when I use to live in Japan as team bonding and another moment would be playing in an all star game in high school and in college and creating new connections with different football players.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
4-3 is definitely my preferred favorite because of how much I have adapted to that scheme through high school and college as a defensive end and how the scheme can set up edge rushers for a good 1on1 with the offensive tackle to get to the quarterback.
What should we know about Sayrend Musgrove Jr the person?
What people should know about him is that he is a God fearing, motivated, and hardworking person on & off the field and that he wants to prove to everyone that anything is worth going for when you put in the right amount of work and time and execute at 110%.
What stands out about your film the most?
My speed is what mainly standouts in my film and how I can correlate it with my hands, feet, and reaction time on the field and it also makes my pursuits to the ball standout as well.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I handle challenges by taking them straight on with my head high and staying motivated to keep taking steps forward to achieve my highest goals.
What would a team get in a player like you?
They would get a player that works with a high motor and that is well coachable with anything that needs to be adjusted and someone that works to keep his teammates motivated and together.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
What I love most about the game is how it has changed my life and helped me learn lessons that I can use to become a successful man moving forward into my future.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
I would say my teammate Phillip Russell that I played with at Concord. He’s a dawg on the field and he isn’t afraid to take that extra step and can also use his voice to bring up his teammates.
