You have to love Chandler Jones and the Las Vegas Raiders. It was a huge boneheaded play, I am not sure who you can blame at this point. Jacoby Meyers took part of the blame for the Sin City Miracle, by saying he was trying to be a hero and he threw it to Mac Jones who looked open.

Well, Mac Jones was open for about 3 seconds, that was before Chandler Jones jumped the route and picked off the pass from Meyers.

After the game Chandler Jones was asked about the play and he said Mac Jones just looked at him with his big eyes after he caught the ball.

“Instead of pursuing the ball, I just started playing back into saying, alright who’s the next passer? Who could they possibly throw it to next that’s behind the line of scrimmage? Because they’re playing this whole hot potato game,” Jones said. “Sure enough, I saw Jakobi Meyers kinda look back at Mac Jones, the quarterback. He was standing in the middle of the field. I literally just jumped up when I saw the ball coming, intended for Mac. Mac was kind of standing there, looking at me with big eyes. I literally just jumped up and intercepted it. I just gave Mac a nice stiff arm with my right hand. The rest was history.”

That was definitely the worst play call ever. I am not sure Bill Belichick will ever get past that one. It was ugly. Then you have Belichick taking a shot at Mac Jones saying he didn’t have a strong enough arm to throw it 55 yards…..
