Bill Belichick takes a huge shot at Mac Jones for the last play of the game against the Raiders
The New England Patriots lost to the Las Vegas Raiders in one of the worst ways ever. Many people cannot understand why the Patriots did not try to throw a Hail Mary, but Bill Belichick told reporters, there was a reason he didn’t attempt a Hail Mary.
He said Mac Jones cannot throw it that far…….
This was a definitely a shot at Mac Jones, the throw would be about 55 to 60 yards. I know they are a long shot to make it, but a pitch play is way likely less to work.
The Patriots had the ball on their 45 yard line. I am sure Mac Jones could have thrown it that far. I mean the Patriots could have just kneeled down and took it to overtime. I am not sure I will ever truly agree with the play call. The play worked, but why pitch? I would have to ask Jacoby Meyers what he was thinking.
