Former Missouri defensive back John Gibson was shot and killed in Houston
Former Missouri defensive back John Gibson died Friday in Houston. According to reports, the former Missouri star defensive back was shot and killed.
The Missouri City, Texas, product totaled 86 tackles and five interceptions in his collegiate career. Gibson was also deployed on special teams, returning 16 kicks in his career for 291 yards. Gibson appeared in 49 games for the Tigers from 2013-16 after redshirting in 2012.
Gibson leaves behind four children, all five years old or younger. A GoFundMe page was set up for the family of Gibson. This is such a horrible incident.
