What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
My brother, he’s 4 years older than me and played football so I kind of gravitated towards football because of that. And playing football on the block and watching the Jets and Steelers play.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Signing day was definitely one of them, beating James Madison my freshman year and beating Richmond in overtime this year.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Obviously make it to the next level the NFL, work on my skills and get better, and use my experience in football to help other people.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Troy Polamalu, because I’m a huge Steelers fan, grew up watching him. Obviously talk football understanding him from a humility standpoint, and ask questions about how to be a better football player and carry yourself as a pro.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My father mainly because he played college basketball at Gonzaga and was a coach and he pushed me to do stuff in sports and school, just the way my father conducts himself as a person and the values he has and I just strive for myself to be like him.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
I like the air raid offense, mainly because obviously I’m a wide receiver but I think air raid is hard to stop as well as it opens up the run game and the defense has to cover the entire field.
What should we know about Jackson Parham the person?
I’m a Christian, a homebody, I just like hanging out with my teammates, enjoy watching movies, like playing NCAA and I enjoy being with my family.
What stands out about your film the most?
Able to make contested catches and get separation on press 1 on 1 and I have run after the catch ability.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Usually when challenges happen in life and on the field, I take them head on and with that I have family that supports me in anything I do as well as teammates and I put alot into preparation and I just strive to be the best person possible.
What would a team get in a player like you?
They are going to get somebody who practices hard, is a team player, who is dedicated to getting better, somebody who is accountable and willing to put there body on the line.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
The camaraderie of your teammates after a win and in camp and also football shows you your personal progression like as a freshman to a junior.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Devonte Chandler, he’s a linebacker on our team and he’s not always recognized as far as accolades. He’s been a captain here for 2 years, extremely smart football player and his love for the game is contagious.
