Report: Denver Broncos wanted Aaron Rodgers more than Russell Wilson

The Denver Broncos gave up the farm to land quarterback Russell Wilson, but there is a new report that has surfaced saying Danger-Russ was not the first quarterback they wanted.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler spoke with multiple NFL execs who believe the Broncos were all in trying to trade for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers during the off-season over Russell Wilson.
Fowler said one team could not believe how much they gave up for Wilson.
“Aaron Rodgers, I could understand giving up that sort of package, but not Russell,” an executive from an NFC team told Fowler. “Denver didn’t have any familiarity with the player or his fit in the system, and he’s declining as an aging, smaller quarterback.”
Well, it is safe to say it has not been the greatest trade. I mean Matthew Stafford going to the Rams was a better trade.
