NFL teams quickly change their stance on concussions after Tua’s situation | Over a dozen players benched for head injuries
The Tua Effect is in full swing! The NFLPA and the NFL are under a very fine microscope after the mishandling of the Tua Tagovailoa’s head injury, and everyone is taking notice.
This week along over 12 players were benched for head injuries after sustaining a hit even if it was not that serious.
Colts All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard was taken off the field with concussion symptoms. Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate was also removed after running into his own player. Isaiah McKenzie was crushed coming across the middle for the Bills and he had to exit. Three raiders were out to include Denzel Perryman, PJ Locke and Aaron Patrick, Giants had both Tyrod Taylor and Julian Love both enter protocol, and both Brian Hoyer and Packers starting safety Adrian Amos. Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds had a hard hit on Jets running back Michael Carter that sidelined him, while the Texans lost linebacker Blake Cashman.
Is this precautionary measures, or was this the Tua Effect?
I personally believe the Tua situation has everyone looking at the concussion situation a lot closer. Do you feel the NFL will be watching head injuries a lot closer? Let us know
