Death of High School football player ruled accidental caused by blunt head trauma

New Mexico high school football player Abe Romero dies from an injury he suffered earlier in the season
Abe Romero, who played football for Organ Mountain, passed away and his cause of death is blunt trauma to his head.

Abraham Romero died on August 26th during a collision with an opposing player. Abe Romero was just 17-years-old. He had been in a medically induced coma after suffering an injury on the football field.

Romero was tossed to the ground on a routine play, but about 20 minutes later the star running back collapsed between plays.

Well, an autopsy on the body discovered that the cause of death was accidental and caused by blunt head trauma.

They cannot determine if the injury happened from him hitting the ground of another player.

Romero passed away on September 17th, three weeks after his injury. Please keep the family in your prayers during this tough situation. This is why plays that send players walking sideways need to be taken more serious. The hit on Tua Tagovailoa has raised flags in the NFL, but if this happened in the NFL it would be a major story.
