New Mexico high school football player Abe Romero dies from an injury he suffered earlier in the season

Abe Romero was just 17-years-old. He has been in a medically induced coma after suffering an injury on the football field.

Back on August 26th, Romero was thrown to the ground in the game while playing running back. but 20 minutes went by when he collapsed in between plays.

Romero’s condition worsened on September 10th, and he would pass away on September 17th.

Romero was a team captain on his football team, a loved player for Organ Mountain High School.

A GoFundMe was created for the Knight running back, and has raised around 8,700 dollars. Please keep the family and friends in your prayers during this tough time.
