Player Summary:

Starter at Center, Sr. Has good height and below-average weight for the Center position. Although he has below-average weight, he has good feet and can move well. He has decent athleticism and above-average strength. Currently weighing in at 287, he has some room to grow/add more strength. He is pretty proportionate with a nicely built upper and lower body. As a pass protector, he is fine. He has a wide base along with good balance. He does a good job sinking his hips and gaining/using leverage. He does an honorable job getting his hands inside the defender and a great job latching onto them. He does a good job keeping rushers within his feet. He has a bad habit of leaning slightly forward in his stance and ducking his head at times. As a run blocker, he is above-average. He is quick off the ball and does an adequate job moving out in front. He is satisfactory at pulling. He usually gets to the 2nd level and does an above-average job opening up room there. His good movement helps him out there in those situations.

Scheme Fit:

Center

Power Statement:

Duke is a fine player in both the run and pass game. I do not think that he will be able to add much value to an NFL team in the next year or two. However, with proper development over the next few years, I can see him adding value to an NFL team as a reserve C.
