Tennessee Vols offensive lineman Savion Herring arrested for domestic assault
The Tennessee Volunteers have kicked junior college transfer offensive lineman Savion Herring off the team after he was arrested for domestic assault on his girlfriend.
Herring was arrested on September 14th, for the September 11th incident. The woman told officers Herring grabbed her arm to prevent her from leaving the room and then punched her, according to online court records. Herring denied punching her but admitted grabbing her wrist to stop her from smashing his video game console.
The arresting documents claim that Herring is seen on the camera kicking and hitting the female as she tries to leave Stokely Hall. He is also seen taking her back and kicking it back to his room.
Herring will be in court on September 27th, 2022 for the arraignment.
Herring was a JUCO transfer from Monroe College in New York. He is a Sophomore player who has a ton of upside.
This is the second Vols football player arrested in the past month for domestic violence.
