This week the Super Bowl Champions will take on the Buffalo Bills in the first NFL game of the season. The Bills are banged up with five players on their injury report to include starting slot wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and starting safety Jordan Poyer.
The Rams however only have one player on their injury report heading into the game. The Rams have starting wide receiver Van Jefferson on the list who did not practice on Monday. Jefferson underwent a minor knee surgery at the beginning of August and is making great progress. He has not been ruled out as of yet, but the Rams are being careful with him.
The Bills are the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year, and Josh Allen is already being tabbed as the MVP by many outlets. What is the best way to bet on the NFL MVP? The Bills will need some players to step up if they want to beat the Rams.
The Rams are a sound football team with tons of talent on both sides of the ball. The Rams did lose a few key pieces. One of those pieces is now on the Buffalo Bills. Von Miller the veteran pass rusher switched to the Bills in the off-season and he would love to get after his old team and help the Bills wreak havoc.
The Bills will need to keep Cooper Kupp in check if they want to win. The Bills will have to do that without starting All-Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White. The Buffalo Bills first round pick Kaiir Elam is going to have his hands full this week. He will be lined up against the best wide receiver in the NFL. That is a great way to get welcomed to the NFL.
If Kaiir Elam can hold down Kupp, the Bills could get a big win over the Super Bowl Champs. It will be a gun fight, I think the game will go down to the wire.
Can the Bills get past the Rams? I have a feeling they do 34-31!
The Rams and Bills will commence the 2022 season Thursday at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
