Report: Doctor fears Jets QB Zach Wilson suffered a torn ACL
Dr. David Chao has been well known on Twitter for years for talking about injuries moments after they happen.
Tonight, Jets quarterback Zach Wilson went down on a non-contact play and Dr. Chao is reporting he fears that Wilson did in fact suffer a torn ACL.
Here is the tweet from Dr. Chao’s site.
In the article, Chao says:
By video, have significant worry that Wilson suffered a torn right ACL when he planted his foot while attempting to cut upfield.
The injury will require an ACL reconstruction and Wilson will be out for the 2022 season with an eye on Week 1, 2023.
If the Jets do in fact lose Zach Wilson for the season, do not be shocked if the Jets call the Niners tonight about Jimmy Garoppolo.
Another reporter CBS Sports reporter Leger Douzable is also reporting the injury.
