Judge allows former NFL star Zac Stacy to come back to Florida to see child
An Orange County judge is allowing former NFL running back Zac Stacy, who is accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend during an incident that was caught on camera to return to Florida to see his child.
“I’m going to permit Mr. Stacy to enter the state of Florida for timesharing with the minor child,” the judge said during the hearing. However, the exchange of the child must be done at a law enforcement agency. The judge also said there is to be no “hostile contact” between Stacy and his ex-girlfriend.
According to TMZ Sports who obtained the video, Stacy became furious with his ex and that is when he yanked her off the couch and threw her into the television. Then it goes to another angle and he punches her. You can see the video below.
“He punched me several times in the head! I begged him to stop because the baby was on the couch just a few feet from where he punched me,” the woman wrote in the restraining order application.
She continued … “He then picked me up and threw me into my TV. The TV began to fall and he turned to make sure I wasn’t getting up. As I lay on the floor he began to yell at me, telling me I’m destructive. He then picked me up off the floor and off my feet and body slammed me into our son’s bouncy seat.”
Stacy denies he hit her even though it is all on camera. The trial for this case is tentatively scheduled for next month, but in the meantime, Stacy will be allowed to visit with his child per the Judge.
Stacy was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Vanderbilt. He also played for the New York Jets, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Memphis Express.
He is currently being charged with multiple felonies – felony aggravated battery and criminal mischief in which he was released on a $10,150 bond. He previously fled the state of Florida which resulted in an aggravated battery warrant being issued for his arrest. He was arrested at Orlando International Airport after arriving on a flight from Nashville, Tennessee.
