Massachusetts High School football player tragically died after trying to backflip into a pool
We have all tried to do a backflip into a pool. Well, at least I have tried. Unfortunately, on the fourth of July, when Cameron Audet a varsity football player tried to hit a backflip, he injured his neck and was paralyzed in the water.
Cameron was flown to the hospital but did not survive the injuries. He suffered a catastrophic brain injury and there was no chance of recovery.
His sudden death left the Swansea, Massachusetts community and even the neighboring Somerset community feeling empty, shocked, and in disbelief.
Fifteen-year-old Cameron Audet loved playing football. The soon-to-be sophomore at Joseph Case High School in Swansea just found out he made varsity a few weeks ago.
Audet played running back and linebacker and was solid player.
A GoFundMe page was set up for his funeral costs, and it has already raised 33k dollars. Please keep the Audet family in your prayer during this tough time.
