Vikings offensive lineman Dakota Dozier hospitalized with COVID-19

Former Furman standout offensive lineman Dakota Dozier and current Viking is in the hospital after struggling with breathing from COVID-19.

According to ESPN, Dakota Dozier who is vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus is in the hospital because he is having trouble breathing.

The small school offensive lineman from Furman will remain in the hospital in stable condition, and has been placed on the COVID-19 list last week.

He is currently in stable condition according to Mike Zimmer the Vikings head coach.

“It’s serious stuff, so, I don’t know,” Zimmer said. “Like 29 guys are getting tested because of close contact, including myself. Just do what we do.” Zimmer says it was COVID-19 and not a reaction to a vaccination. “No, it was COVID. I’m not a doctor, but it was COVID pneumonia or something — he had a hard time breathing.”

Five Vikings players are currently on the COVID-19 list, but Dozier is in the hospital which is pretty serious. Please keep the small schooler in your prayers.
