Wildcard weekend has some BIG TIME spreads in both the AFC and NFC games

Ravens easiest schedule
The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson had the easiest schedule in the NFL this year, and they will now face the hottest team in the league. Can Lamar Jackson get them over the hump?

Playoff football is almost here, and there are some big-time games this weekend. According to the latest NFL odds for the Playoffs, several teams are five-plus point favorites which seems like a lot for the playoffs.

I wanted to break down some of the biggest spreads around the league and make some predictions as well.

Let’s start with Saturday’s January 9th games first because we have some amazing football games kicking off.

The first game of the day is the Indianapolis Colts against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are 6.5 point favorites, and with how well the Bills are playing right now I would love to believe the Bills are a lock, but they will be going up against a familiar face. Frank Reich the former Buffalo Bills quarterback who led the largest comeback in NFL history will be on the opposite sidelines. I think the Bills will pull off the win, but I am not sure if the cover. I will go out on a limb here and say the Bills win by at least 7.

The Rams take on the Seahawks at the 4:40 game this week where the Rams are just 4 point favorites. I think the Seahawks will win this one and cover the spread a lot easier than the other games around the league. I have the Seahawks winning and winning big by at least 10 points to move to round 2.

The last game of the night is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the Washington Football Team. While it would be great to see Ron Rivera, Alex Smith and Thomas Davis get the win, I cannot see them stopping Tom Brady and the well-oiled Buccaneers. Buccaneers are going to struggle, but they are 8.5 point favorites for a reason. Tom Brady and company get the win, and I definitely believe they will cover the spread.

On Sunday, January 10th, the games will be just fun to watch. It starts off with the Ravens taking on the Tennessee Titans. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens need to win and are considered 3 point favorites. The problem is the Ravens will have to face the red-hot Tennessee Titans who have Derrick Henry. Henry has been running over people all year. If the Ravens can control him, they will win. If Henry runs all over them it will not be fun for the Ravens. I am taking the Ravens over the Titans and to cover the spread.

The Chicago Bears are being spotted 10 points to the New Orleans Saints and I still do not like the Bears this week. You can give them 14 and I think the Saints will cover. The bears made the playoffs but I am not sure they can hang with Drew Brees and company.

The last game is the Browns against the Steelers. The Browns will be without head coach Kevin Stefanski and starting offensive lineman Joel Bitonio, both contracted COVID-19 this week. The Browns offense will be called by Alex Van Pelt, and I am not sure they can get past the Steelers. They are getting 6 points according to the spread, but I am taking the Steelers to cover.

This week will be fun to watch, but there are a lot of points being spread out. Could there be some huge upsets on the horizon?
