3 Weekly Sleepers

  1. Denzel Mims/ WR/ NY Jets: I’m not as enamored by Mims as the rest of the world but it doesn’t mean I won’t shout him out. Mims tied the team lead in targets last week with 8 and turned it into 4 catches for 67 yards. Next, he has the Raiders and his rest of season schedule is nice enough for him to finish with a bang. I expect this week to be his breakthrough performance.
  2. Ryan Fitzpatrick/ QB/ Miami Dolphins: Monitor Tua because if he can’t go I’ll take my chances with Fitzmagic against Cincinnati. He has 2+ TD passes in 5 of 7 games he has started. This could be the final start for Fitzmagic so he should be airing that thing out. The Cincinnati D looked good against the Giants but Fitz is no Colt McCoy. Also, Fitz gets back-to-back revenge games. Yes, he was in Cincy too. Fitz has been everywhere man.
  3. Damien Harris/ RB/ New England Patriots: The Patriots are just better when they go to the power run game. And this week should feature a bunch of it. Harris runs hard, angry, with a purpose or whatever other saying you want to throw in there. He took a backseat to James White last week in terms of TDs but that was more of an anomaly compared to an indication of the future. Expect Harris to score this week.

3 Weekly Fades

  1. Giovani Bernard/ RB/ Cincinnati Bengals: This one hurts. He’s not going to be effective with Brandon Allen playing. The Dolphins are up next and his rest of season outlook is crashing hard. It seems that Gio did all he could do for fantasy teams and for that we thank you Gio. He does have Dallas next week so dropping him may not be the move.
  2. Christian Kirk/ WR/ Arizona Cardinals: His heater is over. Kirk was unbelievable for a short stretch there but like all good things in fantasy football, it must come to an end. This week he has the Rams and Kyler Murray appears to have a legitimate shoulder issue so this isn’t the week he gets back on track.
  3. Jimmy Graham/ TE/ Chicago Bears: Mitch Trubisky is more likely to throw it to a WR and that shatters any fantasy impact Jimmy Graham is going to make. While Detroit presents a solid enough matchup don’t expect Trubisky to learn any new tricks in practice this week.
