Draft Diamonds Free Agent Interview: Darrius Boyce, Defensive Lineman
Hello, I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL, CFL, and XFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. 1.What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moment would be traveling over Europe to Germany playing and staying in a different country for 6 months.
2.What has been your biggest challenge in life?
Learning that you can get cut from a team and it’s not playing high school and college you really compete and really can’t take things guaranteed.
3.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?
Thinking bout my family, where I came from (Elizabeth City) what it took for me to be here coming from a small town, and going to a small college (NC Wesleyan) I’m grateful I never gave up my dreams.
4.What is your favorite workout?
My favorite workout would be a full-body workout from power cleans, deadlifts, etc.
5.What do you hope to achieve as a football player?
Once my football career is over I want to continue to help with the younger kids and give them the knowledge I was taught and overcome obstacles.
6.What is your favorite stadium that you have played in?
My favorite stadium during my college career we played Ohio Northern.
7.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Lawrence Taylor would be a legend I would have that on one talk with watching him play off the edge aggressively and with an eager and being a leader I would learn a lot from him.
8.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Watching my older brother play look up to him made me the drive to play follow his footstep.
9.What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?
I’m that high motor positive intense energy, I give to my teammates pushing them when they need that extra push.
10.What would a team get in a player like you?
Someone that’s hungry with a high motor that loves the game a listener and always wants to get better day by day.
11.If your life was a tv show what would you call it and why?
My tv show would be survivor reason is all my life I had to grind and really start from the bottom with no handouts.
12.Rank focus, footwork, and skill-based on what is most important to you as a football player and explain why?
Skills are the main biggest importance of being a football player your craft is an important tool the foot work would come with practice and steady working on that.
