High School standout football player Demetrius Robinson was shot and killed in Memphis

Demetrius Robinson is a 6050, 208 pound defensive end/outside linebacker from Whitehaven High School in Memphis, Tennessee. The upcoming senior had a future at the next level to play college ball, but that was cut short a few hours ago.
Robinson was shot and killed at a gas station last night.
Officers responded to the shooting at the Marathon gas station located at 3885 Elvis Presley, and according to the Daily Memphian, Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are on the scene of a shooting at 3885 Elvis Presley. One male has been pronounced deceased on the scene. The suspects responsible were described as two male Blacks, last seen westbound on Whitaker, occupying a black Infinity with tinted windows and a drive out tag.— Memphis Police Dept (@MEM_PoliceDept) September 3, 2020
I contacted the police department and the police are currently looking for a black Infiniti with tinted windows. There were two males in the vehicle, according to the officer.
We need to figure this out, young high school athletes are getting shot and killed more now than ever. This should not continue to happen. We need to figure out a way to make this stop. Just one week ago, Minnion Jackson was shot and killed in Louisiana. He too had a future at the next level. Gun violence is not the answer. Several of Robinson’s friends on Twitter tweeted him this morning saying they wish he would have just made it out of Memphis. That is so sad.
Please keep his family and friends in your prayers at this moment. This is such a horrible ordeal. We hate reporting things like this.
