At 3:48 a.m. last Wednesday, Cameron McGlenn a former standout for Elon University was walking when he was struck by a vehicle, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

McGlenn achieved success on the college level. He was a four year contributor and was a starter for two years. He was an All-Conference player in 2009 as a senior.

Please pray for the McGlenn Family

Cameron would go on to play in the Arena Football where he had a great career. From 2010-2017, he played in the Arena Football League for the Iowa Barnstormers, Spokane Shock, New Orleans Voodoo, Tampa Bay Storm and Washington Valor. He also had a one-year stint with the Guangzhou Power of the China Arena Football League in 2016.

Cameron was a feisty cornerback with long arms and talent. This is a horrible incident, and we at NFL Draft Diamonds would like to offer prayer for his family and friends in this tough time. Cameron McGlenn was a great football player and an even better human being. You will be missed Cam, Rest In Peace.

UPDATE: Many were saying it was a hit and run but that is not the case. We are learning that the person who hit him did not leave the scene. Please keep the family in your prayers, still.
