What are the key match-ups for the XFL in week 2?

Justin Berendzen our Lead XFL writer, put together some key match-ups for the XFL in week 2.

NY Guardians at DC Defenders

Guardians Offensive line vs Defenders Defensive line

The Guardians offensive line was awesome against the Vipers and had awesome blocking for QB Matt McGloin. The Defenders defensive line caused havoc against the Dragons and played well. So I think this will be the matchup that helps determine the winner of this game and will be interesting to see who wins this battle.

Tampa Bay Vipers at Seattle Dragons

Brandon Silvers (or whoever starts for the Dragons) vs The Vipers Secondary

If the Dragons QB can throw well that would be key to the Dragons winning. If the Vipers secondary can best the QB for the Dragons I expect a good game. I this this will be a factor into who wins because the Vipers are going to need help from their db’s especially if Murray is the Vipers starter to win the game.

Dallas Renegades at LA Wildcats

Wildcats Offensive Line vs the Renegades Defensive Line

This is imperative that the Wildcats offensive line stops the Renegades defensive line. And vice versa the Renegades need to get to the Wildcats QB and get pressure on him to win. Whoever wins this matchup probably wins the game because of the way the Wildcats QB reacted to pressure week 1.

St.Louis Battlehawks at Houston Roughnecks

Roughnecks Offense vs  Battlehawks Defense

This matchup is a must watch. Roughnecks offense was awesome last week. Battlehawks defense won the game last week. Whoever wins this matchup will win the game. If PJ Walker finds his receivers Roughnecks win. If the Battlehawks defense gets to PJ Walker and the defense causes turnovers I think that the Battlehawks win.
